Advanced Surface Treatment Processes
Cold Galvanizing Process (Electro-galvanizing)
The cold galvanizing process utilizes electrolytic principles to form a uniform and dense zinc layer on the cage surface. This technique creates an exceptionally smooth surface texture, effectively reducing friction damage when poultry come into contact with the cage, while also facilitating daily cleaning and maintenance. Cages treated with the cold galvanizing process can achieve a service life of over 16 years, maintaining excellent anti-corrosion performance under normal farming conditions. The surface smoothness meets industrial standards, not only enhancing the equipment’s aesthetic appeal but, more importantly, reducing bacterial adhesion and waste accumulation, creating a more hygienic living environment for the poultry.
Hot-Dip Galvanizing Process
The hot-dip galvanizing process involves immersing the cage components in molten zinc at approximately 450°C, forming a metallurgically bonded alloy coating. This process creates a thicker zinc layer (typically 70-120 microns) with superior protective performance, extending the service life to 30 years. Although the surface smoothness is slightly inferior to cold galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing provides unparalleled corrosion resistance, making it particularly suitable for farms with high humidity or more corrosive environments. The substantial zinc layer can withstand harsher physical impacts, demonstrating exceptional durability throughout long-term use.
